Receiving Apprentice of the Year 2017
– I didn’t know what this meant at first and if you know Andy, then you will know he likes a joke therefore I wasn’t sure what this entailed. When Andy explained what it was, I was over the moon to find out that I had won this award. I wasn’t expecting anything like this to happen, it is such a large shock, however a great honour.
I love being an Apprentice at Trafficlear but to be told I have won an award for doing something that I love is amazing. When I first came across Adrian Bird, The Apprenticeship Finder, I didn’t know what sort of apprenticeship I would be wanting and when he introduced me to Trafficlear, I would never have dreamed of working for a Vehicle Warning Lights and Intelligent Controls Distributor, however it was the best decision I have ever made. I couldn’t see any other route I would rather take than to work for Trafficlear. Trafficlear are such a ‘down to earth’ company and are lovely genuine guys to work with and be around on a daily basis. I think this is one of the main reasons that I have settled in here to complete my apprenticeship so well. I would like to thank the Directors at Trafficlear – Andy, Sam and Dave for putting me forward and nominating me, I was totally unaware!! It is nice to hear such positive comments about your activities in the workplace and receive recognition for this.
From reading the other outstanding nominations, I am surprised that I received the award as the other Baltic Apprentices sound amazing. Apprenticeships are such a great opportunity for young people and I would recommend taking up an apprenticeship to any college or school leaver.
Thank you Baltic Training Services for choosing me – I am eternally grateful!
